New York Iroquois Hotel
The Iroquois Hotel is a smaller, luxury hotel located in midtown Manhattan a couple of blocks away from Times Square. The historic hotel, first built in 1899, has gone through numerous changes throughout the years. But thanks to the hotel’s owner, Shimmie Horn, the onetime apartment hotel underwent a massive renovation during the late 1990’s that has made into one of the most impressive, smaller-sized hotels within the city’s epicenter. Situated off Fifth Avenue, the hotel is less than three blocks from Grand Central Terminal. It is also within walking distance from the Garment District, the Museum of Modern Art, Central Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Macy’s, Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center.
The hotel's 113 guestrooms are complemented by elegant furnishings that include beds with pillowtop mattresses, down comforters, luxury Anichini towels and Frette Italian linens. The bathrooms feature floor-to-ceiling marble, pedestal sinks, brass fittings and Frette bathrobes.
